Our Sun has been the same for the last five billion years, radiating the same way every day, just changing the angle which the rays fall to the surface of the earth. The sun’s rays that reach most of our planet are UV rays, which belong to ionizing radiation; As X and gamma rays can ionize atoms and break molecular bonds. Such radiation can damage human health.

The idea of ​​this project is that its solution minimizes the negative impact of UV light on visitors of the Flower Square. More precisely, rotary panels are provided in the form, reminiscent of trees, occupying positions defined by several parameters. Primarily, their position determines the time of the day, that is the magnitude of the UV radiation, and, in parallel, the position of the sun affects the angle that it will occupy. Namely, this parameter is defined in advance by the already known position of the sun during the year and is not measured.

 

Naše Sunce je isto poslednjih pet milijardi godina, svakog dana zrači na isti način, samo se menja ugao pod kojim zraci padaju na površinu zemlje. Sunčevi zraci koji u najvećoj meri dospevaju do naše planete su UV zraci, koji pripadaju jonizujućem zračenju; kao X i gama zraci mogu da jonizuju atome i da kidaju molekulske veze. Ovakva zračenja mogu da naruše čovekovo zdravlje.

Ideja ovog projekta jeste da njegovo rešenje u što većoj meri smanji negativan uticaj UV zraka na posetioce Cvetnog trga. Tačnije predviđeni su rotacioni paneli, oblikom podsećajući na drveće, koji zauzimaju položaje definisane sa nekoliko parametara. Prvenstveno, njihov položaj određuje doba dana, odnosno jačina emitovanja UV zraka, paralelno s tim i položaj Sunca utiče na ugao koji će zauzeti. Naime, taj parameter je unapred definisan već poznatim položajem sunca u toku godine i ne meri se.

Also, visitors have the same effect on the angle and speed of the panel rotation. If one of the visitors is held for more than a few seconds, the system is switched on and starts to measure its distance. The closest panels to the visitor will occupy such a position that they will achieve the greatest shade for the shortest time possible. Concentrically, each subsequent panel will turn more slowly and its shadow will be smaller.

Takođe, posetioci jednako utiču na ugao, ali i brzinu okretanja panela. Ukoliko se neko od posetioca zadrži vise od nekoliko sekundi, sistem se uključuje i počinje da meri njegovu udaljenost. Najbliži paneli posetiocu će zauzimati takav položaj da će ostvarivati najveću senku, za najkraće vreme. Koncentrično gledajući, svaki dalji panel će se sve sporije okretati i njegova senka će biti manja.

It is envisaged that this architecturally-mechatronic system will prevent  all negative insolation conditions throughout the year, and at the same time providing maximum use of the market.

Predviđeno je da ovakav arhitektonsko-mehatronički sistem spreči sve negativne usvlove insolacije u toku cele godine, a samim tim ujedno pružajući maksimalno korišćenje trga.
