U aplikaciju uključiti kratko motivaciono pismo i reprezentativne slike dosadasnjeg rada (do 3 strane ukupno).
Complex Morphologies is a 4 day workshop on generative algorithmic design and use of agent-based design methodologies. The workshop will focus on the application of non-linear design strategies, based on the concept of Object Oriented Design (OOD), in order to create highly complex architectural fabric. Applying agency on multiple scales and layers, from volumetric formations to local surface conditions, Complex Morphologies  will be focusing on the emergent qualities of these heterogeneous meshes and volumetric ornaments, embracing controlled errors and noise in the design process. The goal is to explore the potential of algorithmic design techniques and topics like “emergence”, “distributed design intelligence” and “swarm behavior”.
During the workshop, we will be using Processing as the primary software for simulation of agent protocols, with the addition of Softimage/ICE and Z-Brush during the process of post-production. The goal is to introduce students to techniques and methodologies of algorithmic design and procedural modeling, through the use and customization of pre-made scripts and enable them for further individual work. All the work will be conducted in groups (3-4 students) and each group will establish a unique agent behavior which will be developed during the workshop.

The workshop is open for all graduate students from the Belgrade Faculty of Architecture. Students are expected to attend the workshop full-time. Previous programming experience is not necessary. Please email your application to: complex.morphologies@gmail.com and include short motivation letter and several images representing your work (up to 3 pages). Number of students in the workshop is limited to 16. In case of larger number of applications, selection will be done based on the quality of application.
